Join cake lovers, cake artisans, pastry chefs, food service professionals, and guests for an extraordinary cake competition which will inspire cake artisans and encourage business growth and opportunity. Cake designers will vie for the Grand Prize of $1000 at the fourth spectacular semi annual creative cake competition in Georgia. Contestants will present a cast of stunning cakes using their own creative design. The entrants always manage to come up with the most fascinating and extraordinary surprises.

Event Details
March 21, 2010. This will be the first time a Multi-cultural Cake Competition of this magnitude will be held in Georgia. All guest as well as contestants are welcome to sample cakes after the competition.

The Creative Cake Competition will commence at 4:00 pm. See and sample extraordinary cakes from pastry chefs and cake artisans from the Atlanta area, surrounding counties and states. Renowned professional judges to date are, Chef Kevin Ashford, Cake Artisan La'Meeka Edwards, Instructor Angela Shook, Chef Stefannie Roundtree, Chef Christie Philyaw, Libby Hosmer, Consultant, Cake Designer Dave Smithwick, Cake Artist Cory McDonald, Chef Sharie Scott and alternate judge Kareem Horton. Our purpose for the competitors are to expose their skills and to encourage business growth and opportunity. Plus great fun!!

Chocolate fountains, food and informational vendors. You will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets to win items ranging from gift certificates from local restaurants, to the top tier of some of the cakes and more!

Entry fee for first category $100 - Spaces are limited
Grand prize winner will receive $1000.00

Entry fee for second category $25 (for first cake; $10 per additional cakes - limit 4)
Spaces are limited
Grand prize winner will receive $200.00

The Competition

First category:
There will be over 30 professional pastry chefs, culinary students and cake artisans competing for prizes in the event. Contestants must enter a totally edible cake creation. No cake dummies will be allowed. Renowned professional judges will sample and judge your special creative cake for presentation, creativity, and taste. It will be your opportunity to show off your most awesome cake design to a panel of professional judges, cake lovers, brides,grooms, pasty and food professionals and guests. The cake dimensions are as follows: the base to be no less than 14” and the height no less than 24” excluding decorations. A portion of each contestant’s cakes in this category will be donated to local charities.

Second category:
The Down Home Style Cake contest will be judged by two professional pastry chefs based on taste and appearance. Cake dimensions are: base no less than10’’. Your designs may be round or square with flexible heights. Creativity welcomed! Bring your fully baked and decorated cakes along with your business cards. $25 entry fee per one cake. Each additional cake will be $10 each (limit 4 cakes). What a great way to expose your talent and business!!!
